APPLICATIONS

Our mission is to support young people who want to pursue thier dream careers through schooling.  Applicants are invited to apply if they meet the below criteria:

- High school senior OR

- Completed a year vocational work in a skilled trade OR

- Completed 50% of a licensed vocation  

WHEN:

Applications are due on June 1st, 2025, by midnight.  Any applicants that are submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The application process opens April 1st, 2025 at 8am. Scholarship recipients will be announced no later than July 1, 2025.  

HOW:

Please submit, via email, a written statement of no more than one page outlining what you are wanting to study or are currently studying. Include the name, address and phone number of the school/vocational program you are or will be attending for your education. Include in your statement why this field of study is of interest to you and your plans. Please discuss why you like this type of work and how this work contributes to the YaBud Spirit. 

Our spirit, or David’s spirit, embodied kindness, selflessness and the offering of a helping hand to anyone.  He had the ability to create inspiration, a smile and camaraderie amongst all that knew him.  This is what we refer to as "Ya Bud". It is this spirit that has been the building blocks of The YaBud Club. Our scholarships are meant to bring this spirit to life, to keep David's spirit alive, and to help inspire young people to reach for their dreams and pay-it-forward as they live. Submit your statement to yabudscholarships@gmail.com.  While scholarship recipients will be notified no later than July 1st, all scholarship payments from the Foundation will be made directly to the the chosen program on behalf of the recipient.
