Welcome to the YaBud Club

After the untimely death of our son, David, we formed a charitable organization that supports students interested in furthering their education- a college degree, a program requiring licensure, or a vocational career requiring further education. Our students have an acute desire to build, create and inspire others with their hands and hearts. We offer scholarships to help these young students in pursuing their dreams in those fields~ often the students are forgotten. Our inspiration comes from the spirit of David... a young man who dreamt big, inspired others to reach higher, to try challenging things, and who passionately loved working with his hands. 

David embodied kindness, selflessness and the offering of a helping hand to anyone.  He had the ability to create inspiration, a smile and camaraderie amongst all that knew him.  This is what we refer to as "Ya Bud". It is this spirit that has been the building blocks of The YaBud Club. Our scholarships are meant to bring this spirit to life, to keep David's spirit alive, and to help inspire young people to reach for their dreams and pay-it-forward as they live.  Please join us on this journey.

More about David:

David was a 2017 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and played on the 2015 2A championship football team, and was attending Heartland Community College. David worked at his family-owned business, Adrian’s Shoes & Repair and the Red Wing Shoe Store in Bloomington. He was kind and genuine, had an infectious smile, never knew a stranger and was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Anyone who ever met him became an instant friend for life. David had the kind of personality that was loved by all and as a result was loved by everyone whose life he touched. When you met him, you were never able to forget him.

David’s pride and joy was his family, friends and his big black truck. He enjoyed loud trucks with big tires and if it rolled coal even better. Some of his happiest and most memorable moments was when he would go boating, snowmobiling, cleaning his truck with his friends, time with his pets and all the family vacations, especially Mexico. David adored his sister Sydney. He lived life to the fullest.
